OAS | A REACTION TO THE SWEDISH WINTER

Oas is a brand of Swedish origin, as is its founder Oliver Adam Sebastian who created the brand name with the initials of his name.

The curious thing in itself is not that OAS is mainly a brand of costumes and espadrilles, but it is that it is a Swedish brand of costumes and espadrilles. Of the inherent contradiction in terms, Oliver has made it the brand's motto, the essence of the same “a reaction to the Swedish winter”. He told us himself how it was essential for his family to spend their summer holidays in a warm and sunny place like Barcelona. Clearly, going through a long, cold and even dark winter like the Scandinavian one, their need for sun and heat has always been almost more understandable than ours, a real refreshment of body and soul. Every summer Oliver returned to his Sweden bringing espadrilles as a souvenir to all his friends, a shoe model that was unavailable until 2010 in their parts. His entourage loved them to say the least, and that's where Oliver thought of setting up his very own brand.

Swimsuits were soon added to espadrilles, which are now probably the core business product of OAS and which we no longer find only in Oliver's circle of friends, but widespread in many boutiques around the world.

OAS calls itself a resort brand. The meaning can be interpreted in various ways, but looking at the collection, the beachwear patterns immediately recall that feeling of freedom and lightness of people when they are on vacation or relaxing by the pool. The images of the advertising campaign and the videos of the same are absolutely evocative of a mood that passes among us when we dream of the colors, the light, the ecstasy that accompanies every self-respecting summer season.

The summer that is coming is still a bit uncertain, but who prevents us from closing our eyes and dreaming of our July outfits?
